Co-sponsored by Chinese Embassy in New Zealand, New Zealand Embassy in China and China International Painting and Calligraphy Art Research Association, Cao Jun has held his traditional Chinese painting exhibition entitled “Let New Zealand know China” at Hall 6 with more than 60 pieces of works in the past ten years until Feb.23.

The exhibition covers a wide range of themes from lions and tigers to splashed-color landscape and lotus. Bringing vigor and vitality to the flower-andCbird paintings, the artist represents the current artistic style of returning to the nature, eulogizing the life and publicizing personalities.

Bao Yizhi, Chinese Ambassador to New Zealand, expressed in his congratulation message, “As a celebrated New Zealand-Chinese artist, Cao Jun describes his feeling to New Zealand through Chinese brush and ink, and creates a large number of traditional Chinese paintings understandable and preferred by the westerners.”
